Brief History
In 1985, Paul Riedl accepted an apprenticeship position with the Northeast Culture and Preservation Center of the National Park Service and became a part of a small team of highly skilled craftsman who worked on major restoration projects with the U.S. Government. Because components of these projects were so diverse and the work so focused, he was able to gain a thorough understanding and hands-on experience in the restoration and application of finishes to historic and newer interiors.
Ten years later, Mr. Riedl opened his own shop that focused on the finishing and restoration of furniture and residential interiors...... old and not so old. Today, through the collaborative skills of several artisans, restorers, and master craftspeople, the Studio has expanded and now offers a wide range of services in finishing, repairing, and refinishing all types of wood surfaces including furniture, interiors, and objects of art.
Our Mission
We aspire to continue to bring the highest level of craftsmanship, skill, and service to the demands and challenges of each unique project so that we can meet the expectations and satisfaction of our clients.
